Access report margins on differents computer

Hi,

I'm havin a serious problem with the margin of one (only one) of the reports
of my application. On the developpment machine and on all the others the
report print as expected, however on a machine in particular the margins
seem to reset to default values.

When I preview the reports I can see that the content is too large for the
page. If I go in the page setup window the value are all normal. If I close
the window by clicking OK, nothing happen, but if I make a small change to
any parameter (incresing a margin by 1mm for example) and then click OK.
The preview is redrawn correctly this time.

Others reports in the same application work fines. The bad report is
configured to use the default printer with letter paper size.

Can anyone helped my with this? I already searched on Google Groups and did
not find any reference to a similar problem. However there was a similar
bug in Access 2000 (i'm working with access 2003).

A couple of possibilities...

The machine in question has a different default printer than the others.

The application has Tools | Options | General ... Track Name Autocorrect
turned on -- this created some problems for reports in some versions.

Hi Jeff,

First i'd like to thank you for your reply.

This machine effectively has a different default printer than the others.
However I got a problem with the margins on every printers I use (In one
case I programmatically change the printer before I open the report).

If the default printer is actually at fault, how will I work around this
issue. Their must be a way to get a consistant printing on every computer.

I just checked, Track Name Autocorrect is turned off.

Again, thanks for your help.

One approach would be to designate a single printer as the place that
particular report is to be printed. That way, you could set up the report
to work on that printer. Is there a "network" printer that all users can
"see"?

Another possibility would be to modify the report layout so that it "fits"
on any printer folks would be likely to use.

Hi Jeff,

I'd like to thank you for your help again.

I will probably rework the report so it fits on any printer. That's not
really the most elegant work around, but that's the only solution I can
find.
