Access query & recorder macro

1) In an access query we have sometime quite a lot of predefine one.
Would it be possible to create some folder to arrange them (could be as well
done for report or forms?)

2) In Excel the record macro button is really helpful to learn at the
beginning how writing a macro, why this one is not available for Access!

3) Would it be not possible when we record a macro, to still record it when
we want to move or open a file in windows Exporer (mostly txt file!!)

I don't understand what you mean by "predefine one". Could you restate?
Functions in standard modules can be referenced in Queries, other Queries
can be referenced, other Access objects which have a value can be
referenced, and numeric or alphabetic constants can be referenced.
2) In Excel the record macro button is really helpful to learn at the

This issue has been raised for Microsoft's consideration for several
versions, but they prioritize their resources to address issues they
consider most important to the largest portion of their users, and "macro
recording" has not been one of them, yet. Most of those who I consider
"power users" or "developer level" Access users have not found learning VBA
to be overly burdensome, and it is more powerful than macros.

Scripting is available for Operating System functions as you describe, but
Access macros (as I am sure you know) are usable in Access only.

As you may not know, starting in Access 2007, there was a re-emphasis on
macros in Access, so one can only guess what the future might bring. Your
flagging your post as a suggestion will bring it to the attention of the
product team at Microsoft, so that was a useful thing to do.

the Macro recorder _IS_ available in Access.

it's just called something a little bit different:

a) purchase $49 sql server developers edition
b) move to Access Data Project
c) run a profiler trace
d) do your stuff in Access (Data Project)
e) look at your profiler log to see what is happening behind the
scenes.

I mean some pre-query are used for other one, some other are just used for a
short time ... so it could be good to ordain them in folder's, like we do in
the explorer for all documents !
