Access hangs on one computer

One of our client computers (Windows 2000) is having problems running Access 97. Certain forms (the busier ones) are slow to load and opening other forms from these forms are even slower. This is a new problem as it was working fine one week ago. All other client computers accessing the same database are working fine (Windows 98 and XP)

Have tried repairing and compacting, reloading Access, and reloading Office without success. Also tried moving back end to client computer and relinking tables but same problem occurs. Also ran WinDoctor, Defragmenter and there is lots of empty space on hard drive

Any suggestions? My next step is to reload the OS but wondering if I should be trying something else first.

Hi DeeJay

I would make sure I'm up to date with all the service packs and updates for:

- Windows2000
- Access97
- Jet
