Access freezes after running macro from switchboard

Hello:

I have a macro in my database which prints a report, then runs an update
query. If I run it directly from the Macros menu, all is well. When I
invoke the macro from a switchboard item, it runs fine, but then Access locks
up, and my only recourse is to shut Access entirely and reopen it. Does
anybody have an idea why this happens, and how to solve it?
