Access Access Error 3045

Hello:

We have an application that has been working fine for years. It uses an Access 2000 front end and an Access 97 mdb file back end.

A number of our customers use VPN to connect to the software.

Recently about six or so of the customers are reporting error 3045 on a fairly regular basis.

Most of the white papers we have read refer to the user permissions. We have checked them several times and they seem fine. At four of the six they are only using the app on a single workstation as well.

If the customer "waits" about 10-15 minutes, they often can get back into the software and are able to use it for several hours, but sooner or later it does it again and then locks them out.

As a last ditch effort, we converted the entire app to Access 2007, with a 2007 back end and it worked fine... for a while, but at the two we changed, the 3045 errors have returned.

Any ideas, tricks, things to check would be appreciated.

Note that this app is working fine at 100+ other users!

Weird for sure!
