Access: documenter, queries, forms, etc

Dear guys,

My organisation bought MS access 2003 Win32 English, we started to create an
database with some tables, and once we tried to have a documenter(selecting
all objects and options), the documenter is blank, only one page per table
but without fields and properties???
Moreover we have tried to create some queries and forms, but once we select
a table, no fields appear in the column "Available fields", so not possible
to create any queries, forms, etc ???
I have copied this database on my personal PC at home, but in french version
and all seems running perfectly! I have the same antivirus as at the office
only!
What is the problem? Could it be an issue with the settings (point, date
format or regions, antivirus ...?) Really no idea ...

Thanks in advance for any help ...

My guess would be some installation error that either did not result in an
error message or the error message for which was overlooked. Queries do not
refer to regional settings for dates that are in text form, so you need to
use U.S. date format if you have any of those, MM/DD/YYYY -- but this does
not seem to have anything to do with your problem.

First, I would make certain that I had all the Service Packs and Updates for
Access 2003 and for the Jet database engine version 4. Windows Update should
be usable for this purpose.

I'd next try to use the program CD to effect a repair of the installation.
Knowledge Base article 283849 deals with repairing an installation of Access
2002 or later -- http://support.microsoft.com. If you have trouble with the
repair (Windows Installer), see Knowledge Base article 290158, which deals
with Windows Installer error messages.

If that does not work, I'd contact Microsoft Support for an official support
incident... ask them about billing for support incidents, as the charges may
differ outside the US, but in the US, as I recall, there is no charge if the
error is due to a product defect.
