Access Denied to my files using NTFS

K

Windows is denying me access to random files on my
computer. I am using NTFS and Windows XP. Even though I
have administrator access, it still tells me access
denied. This is done on folders and files just recently
moved or written to. Sometimes if I move a folder to the
desktop and try to access it, it will says access denied
and I will never have access to it again. I don't care
about permissions since I am the only one using my
computer. Is there any way to reset the permissions on
all files, or even just these specific files?
Thank you,
K

This article describes how to take ownership of a file or folder
to which you have been denied access:
