Frustrated by Denied Access!!

I'm not sure what I did, but I am no longer able to move, copy, or alter any
files or folders in my "shared documents" folder. The error message says
"Access is Denied: make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that
the file is not currently in use".

I am an administrator and I have tried to change the settings for the
folder. The "Read-Only" box in the properties menu is a light green colour. I
try to "unset read only" and again it tells me access is denied.

I've tried every trick I know and I need help.

Thank you
