When a couple of the guys in my office got tablets, we played with this
(Office 2003 on Win XP Pro).
In the Access application, whenever they put their cursor in a text field
(if they had the "tablet" feature enabled), they were able to write in the
tablet portion and it was translated into text in the text box. It was a
very rudimentary test, but it did work, and they were able to use their
stylus to drop down combo boxes, select checkbox and radio buttons, etc.
If your application is sized (screen size is pretty small for most tablets)
right, your tablet users should still be able to use the app while using
their stylus rather than a mouse.
