Access 97 & XP

I recently purchased a new computer and tried to install Access 97 on it.
When I boot up Access I get a "No memory" message, then a "System error,
close other programs, not enough memory" type message.

There is plenty of memory (1 g) and no prolem with the 250 g hard drive. I
have MS Office 2002 for Students and teachers on the computer.

I have XP SP2 on the old computer and everything worked well. All of the
other programs loaded into the new compuer (Adobe products for computer
graphics) work well.

Any suggestions?

An Access newsgroup may be better for this quesy. That said, I have the same edition of Office (XP Student edition) and it includes Access 2002. Perhaps having installed an older version of Access after the newer one was installed is where your problem lies.
