access 97 runtime spell checker..

We have an application using access 97 runtime.
We just notice that one option of our application, spell check, does not work.
Some computers doesn't have access installed, and others have access
installed, but still run that application with /runtime option.
The computers that have installed option can use the spell check, and the
computers with no access installed, only the /runtime can't check spelling.
could this be something with our application or using the runtime option
without access installed doesn't allow you to use the spell checker??
thanks in advance for your help

The spell checker is a common module across all Office applications and is
not included with the runtime. Your users should only need Office 97
installed for it to work. They do not need to have Access as part of
Office, but they do need at least one licensed Office app.

Thanks Rick for your quick answer.
Well, we have this scenario in our computers:
All of our pc have installed some version of office. But most of them use an
earlier version of office 97, so, they could have office 2000, 2002 or xp,
but, to use this application, most users use access 97 /runtime.
Only few users use the full access to run this application (for security
reasons),
so, the problem is on the computers that use access 97 runtime and have
earlier office version.
So I guess, this could be the problem, right?

I don't know if the Office version has to be the same as the runtime version
in all cases, but I do know that the 97 runtime cannot use the spell checker
from newer Office versions.
