Access 2007

I have inherited a data Base designed in pre 2007. When I run the Data Base
in 2007, it loads to the Main Menu, but will not load the command buttons
from there.

Is there a way to overcome this?

Thanks for any help

When you say it will not "load the command buttons" do you mean that the
buttons appear on the form, but do nothing when clicked? If so, check the
trust settings for macros. You either have to enable all macros to run or
include the database as a trusted site.

Look under Access Options for the settings.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

I am having the same (or at least very similar) problem, only I've created
the command buttons in 2007 and some of them still don't work and yes I have
enabled macros - most are working.

Before I go any further I better explain what I was trying to do. I was
trying to include a button on a form that brought up a linked form (related
tables have one to many relationship with referential integrity) that
displays only specific data. I orginally tried to do this using a macro and
then asking the button to run that command but it wasn't working. I assumed
that this was because I was a bit rusty not having used access for a cpouple
of years and decided to use the in-built macro. I used the wizard to display
specific data and it still doesn't work.

When I click the button it asks me to set the perameter value instead of
doing it automatically. Even if I enter a number, all records come up.

I have googled this and it appears to be a common problem with 2007. Are
there security settings that need to be changed or is it a microsoft issue
that needs to be resolved?

Thanks.
