Access 2007 SP1 - Specific Printer cannot be saved

AccessReportWriter

I am working on a database in Access 2007 SP1 and am still unable to save a
Specific Printer in a report. I also downloaded a HotFix which references
this problem; however, when I try to install the HotFix i get a message
"Expected Version of Product Not Found" or very similar to that. I have
confirmed that the Client of mine is using a fully licensed version of MS
Office 2007. Any ideas?

Presumably we are talking about this hotfix:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/950488

Under prereqisites, it states:
Access 2007 must be installed before you apply this hotfix.
so there is not even a requirement for SP1.

I've not struck this, but do you think your client may have installed a
later hotfix, such that the file that needs changing can't be? You might
check the file versions lower in the article against your client's to see if
there's a clash.

Alternatively, could there be some virus innoculation (or virus) or other
process that's changing the files? Or inadequate permissions? Or ...

I found this message while I was searching for the answer to the same
question. I downloaded and ran the hotfix and got the same version message.
I discovered while I was deploying the new frontend to the other computers
(access 2003) that the specific printer setup did work. I then tried it
again on my access 2007 machine and it worked!!
