Access 2003 creates new 2000 format projects

I have Access 2003, but every time I create a new database, it says it is in
Access 2000 format. I thought I remembered when we first installed the
software what format we wanted to create a particular new DB in, but I can't
find that option any more. How do I create new databases in the current
format?

Go to TOOLS - Options - Advanced and in the upper right area select which
version to default.
