ACCESS 2003 AND UPDATES

I'm running Access 2003 on a Vista Home Edition PC that also has Office 2007.

Periodically, Microsoft Update applies an update that seems to corrupt
Access 2003. I can open Access, but certain features don't work, like looking
up values in a table with a combo box. The combo box doesn't show the records
even though the table contents are intact.

Uninstalling and re-installing Access 2003 clears up the problem.

Does anybody have any idea of how to prevent the Update from messing me up?

Thanks for your response.

The Article refers to Office 2003, but I am running Office 2007 (did not
come with Access) on Vista Home Edition.

I loaded Access 2003 separately. (I need to stay with Access 2003 for now)

The problem only surfaces after Windows update applies some updates. It's
happened twice. I'm not sure which update is causing the problem.

If I un-install and then re-install Access 2003 from the CD, the problem
with the combo box displaying blank is resolved.
