Access 2003 and SP2/Firewall issues

Luke

I have an Access 2003 database housed on an XP-SP2 laptop. Previous to
the SP2 upgrade, multiple users could sign in to the database
concurrently. Since SP2 was rolled out, those of us who have SP2 on
our desktops can sign in if we're the first user, but can no longer
open the database if another user has it open (.ldb file present).
Non-XP-SP2 users can sign in, regardless of whether they are the first
user or subsequent. It appears as tho' it's an issue w/ the remote
SP2 machines, something on our firewalls blocking the inbound messages.
BTW, I was able to able to connect to the DB if I put the database on
a Win2k server and used my remote desktop connection to connect to that
server and then run it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated !!

Try turning off the firewall off the XP SP2 machines in control panel to see
if that is the problem.
