This is very similar to Knowledge Base */kb/209024/en-us EXCEPT that is does
not apply to Cross-Tab query but to a simple table and query.
For a brand new table as well as a query (based on the table), the field
list is blank and the field add buttons (>, >>, etc) are greyed out. This
applies on 2 PC's at work but the whole database works fine on the same
Office 2000 Pro at home - I can make reports, etc, as intended.
Even going thru "New > Report", etc fails - the error mdg is: "The wizard
was unable to generate fields from the record source you chose. Perhaps you
chose a query that doesn't tretrun any fields." But I selected a TABLE with
data in it!
Also, the database works fine on Windows XP box.
After the basic report, etc is created on my home PC, I can modify it in
design view on my work PC.
I have un-installed and re-installed MS Office 2000 and done a complete
update from the Web although the new installation did recover my old Outlook
stuff without problem. I have also de-frag-ed the drive.
Any ideas?
