Access 2000 Database won't open

I am working with several Access 2000 databases.
I worked in one of them this morning and after exiting and re-opening the
database it only displays a blank page. It doesn't appear to even open at
all.
The other databases work fine.
The file size of the database is still the same, so the data appears to
still be there.

Any advice?

Normally, does a form automatically load upon opening? If so, start your
program by holding the shift key and try opening up that form through design
mode instead. Your main form may have gotten "damaged". You could try the
Compact/Repair utility but that has not worked to fix a bad form for me in
the past. I normally restore the form by importing it from a backup.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your quick reply.
Normally a main menu form opens. I worked in the database this morning.
After I closed out of it and re-openend it nothing happended. It just
displays a blank page and the database does not open at all.

I tried the shift key and also the F11 key but it didn't work.

I was thinking that I might have to import from a backup.

If you have a backup you can use, great.

Another thing you can try is to open a new, blank database and try importing
the queries, forms, reports, etc. from the damaged database. You can
sometimes isolate the damaged object this way.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, I was able to retrieve a backup.
