Access 2000 and novell

I have a strange problem with an access 2000 database and a
novell 6.5 server. When the user runs queries on this
database from this server, it locks up his workstation.
However it works fine when run from a different novell
server or a windows server. Has anyone heard of this problem?

Thanks,
Dave

Quite possible. See the Novell Netware and Microsoft Access MDB
Corruption page at
http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/corruption/novell.htm. There are some
clients which can cause troubles.

Even though it works on other servers, it could still be
a corruption issue? I hadn't thought of that.

No, that's not what I'm saying. That page shows that some Novell
clients don't play well with Access. Possibly some versions of the
server also don't play well with Access. The examples on that page
show corruption as being the end result. In your case locking up
Access may be the end result.
