accept and decline function not working in assigned tasks

I'm experiencing a problem with assigning tasks in Outlook 2003. When the
task appears in the assigned person's mail inbox, the accept and decline
buttons are there, but when clicked, don't bring up a response - and the task
then doesn't appear in the task list of the assigned person (but remains in
the list of the person that has been doing the assigning). This worked fine
up until a couple of weeks ago - and has suddenly stopped working with no
apparent changes having been made to systems.......

I to am experiencing the same problem. Did not have this problem a couple of
weeks ago. Have been searching the Net for a solution but so far nothing.
Surely by now MS must be aware of this problem. Hope they come up with a
solution soon.

thanks for letting me know - I've been searching all day too - I did wonder
if it was a problem with my anti-virus/security software, but turned that
off, and still wasn't working! hopefully MS will solve it soon! it's really
bugging me!!!!!

Helen,

If you use the Search Feature with this forum and insert "can not accept or
decline task" it will bring up a number of people who are experiencing the
same problem. Seems like this problem has been going on for the past couple
of weeks. Just hope someone will come up with a solution.
