It appears we're dealing with a clueless "form freak". Too bad "thread
drift" went this way as I'm really curious about the new Kodak
printers. Frank

Greetings Frank,
I am glad to help with any questions you or anyone might have. Check the
Kodak site as release dates get closer. You should find the answer to most
questions there. If not ask me.
Talk to you soon,

It's too bad that no one seems to have any questions, now that things
have been brought back on track with this new thread. I look forward to
learning more about Kodak's new printers, without all the extraneous
"stuff" that cluttered the old thread.

You are a class act, Ron. You came here, not misrepresenting yourself or
your affiliations as so many others have done, with honest-sounding
answers to honest questions, showing respect to all, even those who
obviously don't deserve it. That is refreshing, even if you do promote
Kodak products in the process. There's nothing wrong with a little
honest promotion. It's when it's overdone and/or deceptive that it
becomes a problem.

I wish more posters in this newsgroup were like you - and I include
myself in that description. I, for one, welcome you here.

He may be a nice guy but he:

is a Kodak employee

he is selling, promoting, and advertising in a ng

he attempted to twist and rationalize the fact

he is giving Kodak a black eye with many

Why call others who do this a spammer and allow him.

Greetings TJ,

Thanks for the nice message.

Truth be told, I am here to help anyone with questions about imaging. I am
simply offering some payback for my 45 years of experience in imaging. So, I
am glad to meet you and look forward to sharing in the future.

Just another bit of evidence of what an uneducated and/or illiterate
idiot this guy is! (It took a couple of re-reads to recognize he
tried to say Kodak!!!!)

I see he almost drew you into his trap, too! He gets me now and then,
but you skirted the edge by not fully quoting him - this time. The
poster in question is neither uneducated or illiterate. When he *wants*
to be helpful, he can actually make some sense, hard as that may be to
believe. He adopts this persona, dropping insults and/or misspellings
like this into the mix just to get other posters to quote him. This is
so the many who have him killfiled get to see his rants anyway.

It's a common troll tactic, and actually quite effective. He looks like
more of an idiot each time he uses it, but it does keep his obsessive
message in circulation. Unless, of course, people like you and me quit
quoting him...

OK TJ,

You may have him pinpointed correctly, hard for me to be sure, but
when I see some of his illiterate comments, it's hard not to call his
hand on such. Ignorance! Or stupidity! As I once used as a
signature to posting "Ignorance is treatable, stupidity is incurable,
but the difference is hard to discern". What you suggest is that his
abhorrent behavior is deliberate, if that's correct - that defines
"stupidity".

Olin
Olin - you would only have had to see the troll's posts for the last three
years to understand why almost all of us have him killfiled. His history is
one of hijacking this NG, harassing anyone who disagrees with him, and
"fishing" for participants with his foolishness to provoke responses. I am
not just suggesting that his behavior is deliberate - his posting history
speaks for itself. Mercifully, usenet purges posts after a while and his
most obnoxious posts are no longer floating in the digital world!
