"About Blank" page

Why do I get a "Blank" page when I'm using IE7? Didn't have this prob with
IE6. I have to Cntl/Alt/Delete it to get rid of it.
I'm using XP Home and IE7. Thanks.

microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

for all IE questions

Because that's the page you said you wanted as your "home page." If you want
a different home page, then change the goddamn thing to www.yahoo.com or
whatever.

I HAVE and DO have a homepage chosen - have for a long time...

The "about blank" page remains after I close out the IE browser screen while
at my homepage or elsewhere. The remaining "about blank" page remains and
freezes the system. Have to CTL/ALT/DEL to close it. Anti-spyware has not
corrected this condition.
