ABetterInternet.aurora adware

MS Antispyware, as well as Symantec (current file definitions), both find and
indicate they have deleted an adware called ABetterInternet.aurora, but the
adware keeps coming up in future scans. I believe it has a file named
nail.exe. I even went to the Symantec website, dowloaded and ran a file
specifically to delete this adware, but after it ran the message indicated
the file was not on my system--Wrong! Symantec indicated they would be happy
to help via phone support at an interesting price. Hum...
Can anyone help?

Thanks Plun for your reply. I have a problem with Ad-Aware. I have used it
before. For some time now, I keep getting a message that my definitions are
old (244 days) and asks if I want to update. When I try to update I get an
error message that says "Error connecting to server. Please retry updating
at another time." I always get this message. Any advice? Thanks.

Hi

Well, maybe a firewall problem as for a lot of MSAS users
and updates ?

Have you also problem to update MSAS ? Beacuse Aurora should
also be removed with MSAS.

Are you running latest Adaware version ? 1.06.R1 is latest.

You can nevertheless manual upgrade definitions
download and unpack, manual put them within Adawares folder.
Typical, Program files/Lavasoft/Ad-Adaware SE Personal.

http://download.lavasoft.de.edgesuite.net/public/defs.zip

The VX2 plugin you then put in the "Plugins" folder.

I have the latest update for MSAS. MSAS will find this adware and when I
select Remove indicates it has been removed from my computer, but it really
has not. The file is in Windows and is nail.exe. I will try to update
Ad-Aware, but I think I have the latest version. Thanks.
