A8N Power Conector on mainboard, do I have to Connect all?

Hello,

getting my A8N SLI Deluxe tomorrow.

I did some reading today and saw that it has 3 power connectors.

1) the EATX 24 pin one
2) the 4 pin one near the PCIex Slot which uses a normal 4 point plug like
HDD and CD
3) the square 4 point in the upper left corner

1) Do I have to connect them all? I´m using only 1 graphic card for now, a
850XT PCIE (okay ATI cannot do SLI at that time, I know)

2) I´m using a Enermax PSU (meets the requirements), quite a good one, but
it has only a 20 PIN Connector. Do I need an adaptor to 24 PINS or can I
simply plug the 20 Pin in?

And one thing in additon. If the 20 PIN is sufficent, am I right that I have
to start from the top of the board as PIN 1?

NOT from the lower part of the connector.

Perhaps this is a dumb question, but I have only pictures till now.

Thanks again

Frank, I am installing my mobo in a couple of hours...you need an adapter
for the power plug, luckily my psu came native 24. the power plug for the
graphics card is for when you are running two cards.

Hi Frank, I have exactly the system you are building. Referring to the
plugs by number, as you have above, you MUST use 1 & 4.

Plug 2 is only absolutely necessary if you are running two vid cards.

This URL shows you the correct way to insert the plug 1 if you only have 20
pins. It works fine.

Regarding the 4-pin Molex next to the second PCIe slot, you only need to
use it if you have a card installed in that slot.

In fact, there is a red LED right next to that power connector which will
light up if you have a card in that slot but forgot to connect the power.
This LED does not light up if no card is installed.

Also, the BIOS will complain on POST if you have two PCIe cards installed
but forgot to connect power to that connector.
