A8N Deluxe - Power Up Problem

A

anthony

Has anyone ever seen this?

I just built a new box using the A8N Mobo and a Thermaltake 480w Power
Supply. When I switch on the PS the green light on the motherboard
comes on. But then if I press the power switch on the case, all the
fans turn on for about a half second then stop, even the power supply
fan stops, but the green motherboard light stays on.

Nothing boots.

Any Ideas??

I would check:

1) CPU fan is plugged in.
2) Heatsink has thermal paste on it, and is making good
contact with the processor.

Athlon64 has THERMTRIP now, just like Intel, and your
symptoms could be a thermal problem.

A third possibility, is there is something wrong with the
power supply itself. I'll mention that just in case the
other ideas don't pan out.
