A7V8X-MX-UAY no post problem

have a7v8x-mx-uay board, 512mb d400 ram, athlon 2000+, tnt m64 video
card.

from a cold boot, the power switches on, then immediately off for 1 or
2 seconds, then on again, but no post beep at all.The pc operates
normal after that no problems

no post on any boot up, cold, warm etc.

the internal speaker is connected.

there is no mention of the "voice" post messages in the manual.

the power problem is only on cold boot.

what might be the power on problem?
what might be the post problem?

many thanks, slartyb

I just happened to be in the right place at the right time to see what

I've been running this board for a while now and this sounds normal to
me... I get the switch on/off after a complete cold boot and I don't
think you'll hear a post beep on this board unless there is a problem
with it.

It will boot normally unless power has been completely disconnected...
then the first boot after reconnection will feature the on/off thing.

I'm not aware that this board supports voice post messages... it is a
bit of a budget board I believe.

I'm quite happy with it... just installed a Gainward FX5900 graphics
card and it runs really well...
