I have a problem with my A7V600 board with the HD led, it is always on.

The configuration of my computer is
A7V600
Athlon 2400
On the master controller a Maxtor 40 GB 7200 rpm HD and a Aopen DVD player
On the slave controller a Seagate 13 GB 5200 rpm HD and a LiterOn CDRW
1 extra nerwork card (3 com)
1 Soundcard creative
1 video card MSI GF 4 -MX 440
1 Miro TV card
The operating system is XP pro
The bios is the latest v1005

After i build this computer it worked fine but after a week the led stayed
on and never went of, is this a known problem or is my board broken?

Have you looked at page 1-25 of your motherboard manual ? Usually it only
stays on if it is plugged onto the mobo the wrong way around.

You have a short some where on the compuer
it's no big deal, check and see if solder is not sticking up on a card and
touching.
check all your molex connectors to see if the are 100% plugged in
