A7V333 usb stopped working after connecting a hub

Hi all,
Bought a 4 port USB 2.0 hub and connected it to one of the 2 usb2 ports.
Funny thing is, when I do that the usb1.1 ports (next to the
mouse/keyboard sockets) stop working altogether.
Anyone?

I seem to remember this being mentioned about a year ago but the otherway
around, namely a USB joystick stopped the USB 2 from working.

Unfortunately I cannot remember the solution, other than some joysticks did
and some didn't.

I don't know if you can search for stuf on newsgroups from that far ago but
if you can look for terms such as

7v333 USB and either Joystick or Gamepad.
