A7V333 and Nvidia 5900 SE

I was just given a eVGA 5900 SE card and while not top of the line it is
still better than my ti4400. Problem is when I install it on my A7V333 I
get vertical blue lines on the Windows XP load screen and after windows has
loaded the screen goes completely blank every 5 seconds or so then comes
back on and repeats forever. I do get a message about the card not getting
enough power. I have a 500W PS so I don't think that is the problem.
Nvidia's troubleshooting guide says to make sure that the "extra" power
cable is connected to the motherboard to draw power. This card did not come
with such a cable and I don't see that it has anyplace to connect one
anyway. Is it possible that the A7V33 AGP Pro slot isn't compatible with
this card? I know that it is only 4x but the card says it will run 8X/4X.
It does list AGP 2.0 as a requirement, is this later than the AGP Pro slot
on this board?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Looking at the spec sheet for the board, I see a black 4 pin connector
in the upper right hand corner of the board. See if a disk drive power
connector will plug in there. (On some boards that use auxiliary power,
they have a smaller 4 pin connector and you need an adapter, but this
one looks like it may be big enough to use a disk drive power connector
directly. Use a separate cable with no disk drives powered by the
same cable, for this purpose.)
