A7V333 and AMD 2600 (333FSB)

I know that the A7V333 board can only go at 266 FSB, but I can't find the
266FSB version of the 2600 processor anywhere, can anyone tell me if the
2600 333FSB processor will work in the motherboard by running it at the
slower speed, or would I just be better off getting a 2400 chip instead.

I'm upgrading my board from a 2100 processor, so am I even likely to notice
a difference no matter what I change?

Must be a revision 1.01 board then cause the rev. 2.0 supports up to the
XP 3000+.

Karpanta - why is 1016 so important??

Sorry if it seems a dumb question. I'm running a Rev 1.04 board with 1017
bios and an XP2700 chip without problems. Should I be considering dropping
to bios down to 1016??

Cheers

Thanks for that Karpanta - it make interesting reading.

I think I will leave well alone at present, but I would really like to give
1016 a try at some point to see if I can crank up the multiplyer on my 2700
to see what it can do. I've bumped it up to 13.5 (from13) and it runs at
2249 Mhz, but if I try and go higher it just BSOD's. I've no increased the
voltage at all, so that could be the problem, bur maybe 1016 would be
better?? Any thoughts??
