A7M266D WOL

Where is WOL connector on my A7M266D located? I can't seem to find it. I
want to use a dlink DFE-530TX+ nic which comes with a 3 pin cable for the
WOL connector.

Thanks,

Fred

Your manual claims that the motherboard is "PCI 2.2 compatible".
As I understand it, the PME pin that would normally appear on the
three pin WOL connector, is now moved to a spare pin on the PCI card
slots.

You may be in luck. This page:

http://www.dlink.com/products/resource.asp?pid=122&rid=515

claims your LAN card is PCI 2.1/2.2 compatible, and that means
the PME pin should be on the PCI connector, to match your motherboard.
That means you won't need the three wire cable - it should just work.
All you need to do, is set up the software for the card, so it
recognizes the correct type of packet for the wake up function.

Post back an update, if you manage to get it working.

Paul,

Thanks for your post! You were "right on the money". I've downloaded a
simple command line program that sends the appropriate packets to the system
I want to wake up. It works like a charm.

Thanks,

Fred
