Hi all,
For those who casually use this newsgroup, please read on.
For the MVPs and other volunteer helpers on this newsgroup who have helped
me, you too can read on if you wish a feel-good moment...
With a lot of help from these volunteers I put together a database which
administered the production of "controlled labels", for the dispensing of a
major drug used in the maintenance - and therefore improvement of quality of
life - of illicit drug users within my region.
This database was commisioned to replace a product doing the job since 1992,
which cannot print to a USB printer !!! (Let's not go there okay? it
already caused me months of consternation)
Today I put the ACCESS 2K/XP database in place, and we (dispensing staff and
myself) put the database through its' deliberations. With a couple of
minor glitches encountered along the way, we managed to get to the end-base,
and produced the dispensing labels in HALF the time it took last week, using
the old product!
I would just like to say thankyou to all the people who have put up with my
rantings and postings for the last "eons". In particular, Dirk, Ken, Dale,
and Allen made contributions which ensure that this database was a winner.
