A real silent newsgroup...

Hallo newsgroup,
is it only my personal point of view, or is this newsgroup dead or close to
be dead?
A lot of questions, and only a small response of answers.
As i could see, also moderated by ms people, but no real answers, only
sugguestions and maybe's.
What is with the fax product from ms, not a real product?
Any comment to my view would be wellcome!!

The newsgroup is very much alive and going to be alive. As I see almost all
of the messages get replies. In cases where the intial post has inadequate
information about the problem, the reply will be clarifications. There are
numerous way a computer's state can be changed - each user installs
different sets of applications/patches/free-ware etc. Any problem needs to
be explained clearly for us to understand completely before responding.
There are many posts which are one-liners like 'my fax doesn't send', 'my
fax is not working, what do I do' etc. We must seek for more information in
those cases. Finally when the support here is inadequate, you can always
take the route of formal support by calling Microsoft PSS.
