A question about macros

Hello All!

I am still trying to make a decision about going to Vista. Is
there any macro capability in Windows Mail? The absence of
macros in Internet Explorer and Outlook Express in Windows XP is
a pain. I did not see the word "macro" in the downloaded
messages.

I've been looking through its menus for months for various reasons, and
don't remember seeing any reference to macros. What do you want to
use the macros for? They might have some ability that they decided to
call something else.

There are two things I'd like to do: program a single keystroke
or button to set up printing in the way that I want it and also
program something that would let me minimize the Mail window
while leaving any other windows. In Windows XP, you can minimize
all windows but a single one has to be minimized by mousing to
the "-" sign on the top bar.

In Vista, most windows come with an _ box near the top right corner,
which you can click to minimize that window.

Setting a single keystroke to print a message is harder; I haven't
found a way to do it yet, but I haven't found a real need to do this.

Thanks! There is one more disincentive from switching to Vista.

Which email program are you using now that has macros?
Just curious.
Or did you mean message rules?

I don't presently have one with macros but I'd certainly like
one! It's a little OT but I'd also like to have a web browser
that allowed macros. Internet Explorer is a pain when you want
to print a page and the defaults are unsuitable.

I use a program called AutoIt3 to do a few simple tasks - it might fill
your needs.
