A few questions on the spyware program?

I have a couple important qusetions on MS Antispyware.

1. Does it really run in the background. I heard that is
does.

2.Does it catch Cool Web?run antispy in safe mode twice, or try CWShredder<<

According to the above IT DOES NOT.

3. What about on a DELL machine, read you need to run a
disk with the scan?

Any help appreciated. I have been online for years & have
had very little
trouble. The last month this spyware has been terrible. I
have read many
reviews & am narrowing down to Spy Doctor, Spy Sweeper or
this product MS Antispyware.

Yes, thats what the little icon in the system tray is for, right click it
and select "Security Agent Status" to see if Realtime Protection is on, it
should greyed out.

Concerning CoolWebSearch, and VX2 users are still encountering problems with
these pesky spyware programs, even after MSAS is installed, but there are
alternatives to getting rid of them, if you look through the newsgroups here
you will be able to find solutions to combat them. Definitions are probably
being created to combat them in future updates.

I have experienced that issue on my dell machines, may Bill will be able to
spread more light on this issue.
