A "delivery receipt" is stuck and I get "sending" failure messages

I'm using Outlook 2003 Professional. I received an email that requested a
read receipt, which I clicked "ok". Now the receipt appears to be stuck and I
get a failure message (see below) trying to send it out. I am able to send
and receive normal messages and the Outbox becomes empty as it should, but
the complaining error (see below) keeps on re-appearing. Where does Outlook
hide these read/delivery receipts and how can I find and delete this
troubling receipt?


Sending' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The connection to the server was
interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or
Internet service provider (ISP).'
