A database for managing Powerpoint slides?

Greetings all!

I am working with huge Powerpoint presentations. Currently we store all our
slides in one HUGE document, then search through the document to find slides
and copy them into smaller presentations.

Is there a database/file sorting system that we can use to better manage and
organize these slides?

thanks!

I always use "Slide Show > Custom Shows".

This way I can create any show I like from the entire slide desk, save the
show with a name I like and run just that show.

It works well for me as I hold about 150 slides in my deck but only want my
clients to see the 10 ten (key points). But in these 10 slides are Hyperlinks
to custom shows which hold sets of maybe 5-10 more *hidden* slides. This way,
if my client is really into a particular point on slide 4, I can click out to
more detail in (say) slides 120-129 and then, after the custom show ends, I
come right back to slide 4!

So cool!

Chris
