97 to 2003 to 97 conversion

A friend has an Access mdb file (version 97).

I have Access 2003 and need to modify my friend's
file and ftp it back to him. I can convert
97 -> 2003 then I can modify the
structure of the tables, and save it as 2003 and
it runs (macros) just like his original 97 version.

BUT when I try to convert it back to 97,
the "autorun" macro for a "create new station"
function, gives an error message that a certain
toolbar is not available ... fatal run-time
error.

I looked at the toolbars available in this
"reconverted 97 file" and that one is not there ...
several other toolbars are there. What would
cause a toolbar not to make it from 2003 -> 97 when
it made it from 97 -> 2003.

Thanks for any help,
Bob Watson

What would
cause a toolbar not to make it from 2003 -> 97 when
it made it from 97 -> 2003.

If you are going file->get external data, and you don't check the "options"
button on the import menu to expand the options, and
forget to check off the

[x] Menus and ToolBars

then the menu/tool bars will not be imported.

If you are actually "converting" the database, then the tool bars, and menu
bars should go along for the ride..

Thanks - I am converting, but they obviously
don't like the ride. :)
