Is ...
Still a known issue after multiple MMC releases ?

....
Happening at every channel changes and it's so loud i don't want to
watch ati tv no more.
ATi AMd should put some code for its customers not beeing deaf in the
end. ATI frustrating peeps, your tv app burst a very loud audio signal
every times when tv switches from mono to stereo, from stereo to mono,
starts, switches off, etc.
Update the known issues, at least ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Terrible piece
of crap !
NG, What do you do with your aiw cards ? Mine's 9800.

Need feedbacks !

I run 9.08 because that's the the last Catalyst setup that didn't
*require* the system to work like a DVR. I think. It works right for
me, anyway.

I hear the static when I switch from S-Video input to tuner, but not
when I change channels in the tuner. And not when I change from tuner
back to S-Video. I have a 9600 XT.

Driver file:
5-13_xp-2k_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_29124.exe

I've seen this issue in the knowledge base but doesn't effect me(also a
9600XT). I see no advantage for just an AIW in the 9.1x versions and a
couple of features that can be a step back. 9.08 or 9.06.1 work well. 9.08
doesn't succesfully support Guide+ though.

About 20% of the time when installing MMC the Audigy2 sound card drivers in
my system get hosed and have to be reinstalled. In my system it causes parts
of words not to be output.

Try playing with the audio acceleration in DirectX. Change the settings
before running MMC. Good Luck.

I would suggest spending the $12.99 for the cd with Catalyst Media Center
for the "TV Wonder 200 and 650". I had heard that it will work just fine
with most of the Wonder products. I even have a Hauppauge tuner card that
it works great with. It was $12.99 well spent. MMC made me crazy with all
of its crashing and hardware conflicts.
