65K+ Row import with excel 2007

I can open IBM provided file transfer generated csv file with 75K+ records
with excel 2007 but microsoft provided transfer tool will not let me transfer
all the 75K record from Iseries. Why? What can we do to fix this problem?

Did you ever get an answer to your question with regards to Excel 2007 not importing more than 65k lines of data? I am having the same problem and need to fix it.
