550 Relaying Denied (Outlook 2002)

Hi,

I keep receiving this message (below) every once in a
while when sending email. This occurs with any email
address on any domain. Once I attempt to send an email, a
new message shows up immediately in my Inbox. This new
message is from "System Administrator" and is labeled
as "Undeliverable:Server". This problem would last for
about an hour and then I would be able to send the same
email without any problems.

What can I do to prevent this from happening?

If you have Outlook 2002 or 2003, you need to set your account to
authenticate to your outgoing server, which can be done on the "Outgoing
Server" tab for your account. Select the option to login to your incoming
server before sending.
