Can anyone tell me why my system defaults back to desktop speakers all the
time. I keep changing it back to 5.1 and it will go back to desktop all by
itself. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, John

Control Panel > AudioHQ > Speaker
Place a check next to "Digital Output Only"
then select "5.1 Speakers" from the Speakers
drop-down list, then click the 'X' to close.
