480 Authenatics Issue

Error Message:

"Header download for the 'MBAACC1.09-12.MBAI04UA71-MBA510' folder did not
complete. Account: 'mbaacc1.phoenix.edu', Server: 'mbaacc1.phoenix.edu',
Protocol: NNTP, Server Response: '480 authentication required', Port: 563,
Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 480, Error Number: 0x800CCCA4"

How should this problem be solved?

Try Tools | Accounts | News | Properties | Server and check the box that
says it requires you to log on and then specify the username and password.

i tried this -i went to Tools | Accounts | News | Properties | Server and
checked the box that
says it requires you to log on and then specify the username and password.
except i am on a laptop using windows vista and there was no news it said
communities is this the same? i tried it three times and i still get the 480
error. PLEASE HELP, I too am at UOP, and i really need to subscribe to the
newsgroups to my classes. thanks

Sounds like you have not created a news account for your UoPh
news server. Go to Tools | Accounts | Add | Newsgroup Account.

i thought i had subscribed but it isn't working i think i may have out in
incorrect info. i have verizon service can someone walk me through the setup?

Who your ISP is does not matter when adding a news account
for a non-ISP news server. You said you saw only Communities,
which is the default news server that Microsoft puts in Windows Mail.
So, you haven't yet subscribed to your university news account.
I gave you the steps for starting the creation of that account. As far as
the exact server name, username and password, you can only get that
from your university contact or class instructor.
