4500rpm ata 66 Hard drive

Hello all,
Can I add a seond hard drive of different speed to my pc? The PC is a Ompaq
Presario BW251. Current harddrive is 5400 rpm ata 66, can I add a 7200 rpm
ata100/133 to my extra bay? Any help will be greatly helpful.

Yep, makes no difference.

Usually...but not always directly.

What size is the old drive? What size is the new drive? What BIOS
are you running?...and what version?

Speed will not be the issue. Size of the drives is the issue...along
with the version of the BIOS...and the operating system.

I am running XP PRO and the old drivr 5400 RPM ata 66. I am running the
latest BIOS from Compaq.
