I got 3DMark05 th other day, ran it and got 2354. From what i've seen on forums its about right.

I'm probably not buying it though, because the demo version gives you all you need to get a score. Like 3DMark03, you can compare with everyone else without buying it.

That 1st test on 3DMark05 is awsome though, with that guy in that robot thing with a big heffer of a gun ;).

Edit: Heres the list of compatible cards! It seems they've restricted this test from the older cards alot!http://discuss.futuremark.com/forum...426993&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=0&fpart=1

Wouldn't run for me, said I was out of video memory

Maybe it's cos I'm still running XP with SP1.

XP3200; 1 Gig memory; 9800 Pro with 128Mb

Yes, I think not having SP2 was the prob, cos it runs OK on my other XP installation, which has SP2.

For this: Asus Via chipset mobo; XP2600; 512 PC2700; 9800 Pro, I got: 2094

Right click on desktop then go to properties, settings, advanced and then options to find out your Catalsyt version. Should be somethign like 4.7, 4.8, 4.9 etc etc.

You got Aquamark? Its more of a system bechmark, for graphics, memory and processor performance, much better than 3DMark05.

You can get it free from here: http://www.aquamark3.com/am3-mirrors.htm

I get just shy of 42, 000. The record is over 100, 000 :|.

Well, a good 2-3 hour session on Doom 3 or Far Cry gets my gfx card alot more worked up than a 15 min benchmark. Its just that you shouldnt go crazy with the benchmarks, like running them every day.

I dont have much faith in 3DMark much, becuase on 3DMark03, i was getting around 6000, and my friend was scrapping 5200, yet he was running Far Cry on all high with 1024x768 without a single stutter, were as I couldnt manage that on 800x600 at the time! And I thought it was suppose to see how well your computer would handle games :/. Thats why I prefer Aquamark03, its alot more of a full system benchy ;).

:( 1fps.

but its staying on the PC intil i get my 6800.

people have complained because, apart from ATI and NVIDIA investing alot of money too try and get better marks on that rather then working on better drivers...most people dont really have a good enough card too get over 1fps.

considering the score a 9800pro is getting...anyone have a 5950ultra? would like too see the comparison.
