I just got DSL and was wondering on my A7N8X Deluxe board if I had my NIC
card set right Duplex-Auto select, boot PROM enabled, media type - auto
select. Sorry for the newbie question.. Thanks for the help

You shouldn't have to change any of the settings - the default setup will
work just fine.

Bear in mind that the onboard nVidia NIC is better than the 3Com one. If
you're only using one, then use the nVidia one.
