32 bit vs 64 bit

I need to download Q831167.exe (Wininet). There are two
choices--one for 32 bit and one for 64 bit. How do I
know which one? I have Windows XP and use Internet
Explorer 6 with the Service Pack 1.

Hi,

Most desktop machines have 32-bit processors. I would guess that you too
have a 32-bit machine, simply because you would know if you had a 64-bit
machine.
