3001 error (invalid argument)

I have created a data base in access. It only has 4 fields. One is an OLE
object field. I add pictures by right clicking, insert object, and browsing
the jpeg files. I have put hundreds already and everything was ok until
friday. I haven't changed anything or done anything different. Now when I try
to add the object a message says, invalid argument. When I click help it says
it's error 3001. I need help urgent. It's for a job project I need to finish
before the end of the week. What can I do. I was more than halfway done. I
can't start over now. I don't have time. What are the steps to take? I will
really appreciate someones help.

Show us the code where this error occurs. Just hit Ctrl+Break when the
error is on the screen, and Access will take you to the code that
caused the error.

I'm curious why you went against the consistent recommendation in this
newsgroup and others to leave images in the file system.

How large is the database? You have a 2 gigabyte limit and if you have
put in hundreds of jpegs then you may have easily reached the size limit.

If you have reached the limit, then you are very probably out of luck on
getting the remainder of the items into the database. Especially given
the fact that until Access 2007, storing images in Access is a very bad
idea - lots of bloat occurs.

Thank you very, very much. Actually I'm new to this online community and I
see that it's very helpfull. So from now on I'll be part of it. That way
sometimes I'll get answers or I'll help someone. Do you not recommend access
at all for this database? What do you recommend? It actually has to print a
report that looks like a catalogue, with the item number, packing and image.
That's why I tried to do it on Access.

Access could well be used for this project, but it is recommended to
keep pictures in the file system rather than in the database. Then
store the relative path to such pictures in a text field in the db.
A few pictures in the db is fine. But hundreds or thousands is not a
good idea. Run a few searches at groups.google.com and you'll get some
background info.
