2nd rqst Can't turn off foreign language

Menus and info boxes often come up in a foreign language, aparently
Brazillian/Portugese. For instance Outlook comes up mostly in English
but some icon labels are not.

I've tried turning off the language bar,
confirming language choice in regional settings, uninstalling some XP
components that had to do with language. Can't get rid of it. Can't get
rid of the language bar either. It keeps coming back.

I tried following the suggestion to look in help about why the language
bar would come back. Seemed the only thing that could relate would be a
"text service" which I have not installed.

Thanks,
Tom

Has the computer always been like this or is this something new? It sounds
like you may have a Portuguese version of Windows.

It did have some kind of google tool bar on it at one time? Interesting
question. Why?

Thanks,
Tom
