2K Updates Won't Install

I downloaded Windows 2K Updates. This takes seconds with
my Cable connection. Then for a 278 kb update it takes 3
hours and then says it has failed to install.
What gives. Do you people at Microsoft think our time on
Earth is worth "CRAP"?? You sure treat us that way.

We Can't backup our Data files without going into a lot of
special work for fear that some precious MS files might
get copied.

Can't get this or that to work because the file types
don't match.

And on and on and on.

No wonder people are looking at LINUX!!!.

So how long am I suppose to wait for a 300kb update file
to install, 3 hours, 3 days 3, millina???

Please let me know this year.

Just to be sure I have this right - you've downloaded a number of W2K
updates to the HD and one of them is failing to install, is that it? Which
update is giving the problem?

Are the other issues you mention actually Windows Update problems?
